Originally from Paris, but a sophisticated world citizen, Laure d’Hauteville is the kind of person who only works well when there is passion involved: it’s her way to evolve, to create, and to organize sustainable events around the world.

After studying history of art in Sorbonne, Laure d’Hauteville came across contemporary art and decided to fully dedicate herself to it. In 1991, fate brought her to Lebanon and it soon became her country, after France. Member of AICA (International Association of Art Critics), she became a journalist for Lebanese business magazines, but, above all, she dedicates herself to her passion for the arts and for the artists.

For the last fifteen years she has been organizing artistic events in France, Lebanon, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and USA. In 1998, she founded ARTSUD, the first exhibition to reflect the creative potential of the Middle East. Then, back in Paris, she worked with the ART PARIS team to launch in 2007 the first edition of the ABU DHABI Art Fair.

Determined to create an event focused on artists coming from contrasting cultural backgrounds, located in a geographical area extending from Maghreb to Southeast Asian territories, she returned to Beirut in 2010 to launch the BEIRUT ART FAIR. Four years later, it has become an important international fair, serving as a showcase of quality artistic creations of the ME.NA.SA region as a whole.

She has managed to establish the image of this art event in Europe, the United States, and throughout the Arab world. It was, therefore, natural that Southeast Asia welcomed her and Singapore, the newest art hub, was attracted to host an event celebrating the ME.NA.SA region.

As a result, and parallel to her focus on Beirut and its cultural effervescence, Laure d’Hauteville created the SINGAPORE ART FAIR which will happen for the first time in November 2014. This ground-breaking step fits into the logic of Laure d’Hauteville journey which is guided by standards of quality and passion.
